How They Dazzle Us

Wonderfully remote, this intimate camp that is tucked away on a remote edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve is accessible only via boat. Guests are forced to leave the vehicles on the bank of the river and then travel via boat and foot to the camp site that sits comfortably on eth shores of a wonderful waterhole. Each of the 17 luxury en-suite tents boasts a large veranda, the perfect place to sit quietly and observe the constant flow of birds and wildlife that visit the watering hole.

Why We Love Them

As is the case with all of the Governors’ Landings, this camp is completely unfenced. While this might sound dangerous it is also quite thrilling and real. A family of warthogs frequently visits the dining tent while it is quite common for guests to have to make way for elephants which sometimes visit the camp. The scenery and the closeness of nature all combine for a primal and unique experience.

Their Sustainable Superpower

This wonderful Landing is entirely powered by the sun with all electricity coming from solar power. Such are their efforts in the realm of sustainable tourism that Little Governors’ has been awarded a Gold Eco-Rating from Eco-Tourism Kenya. And it is not just because of their investment in solar power that they have been awarded this honour there are many other sustainable tourism initiatives in place in and around the camp, all premised around the Governors’ philosophy that the local people of the area need to benefit directly from tourism.
