The team that runs this private paradise on the edge of Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park have drawn heavily on local artists and artisans to create a truly luxurious African home away from home. The work of local stone masons, weavers and ceramicists are central to the Landing’s décor and design, and elements like woven ceilings and hand-fired terracotta brickwork add to the contemporary African appeal. The Landing offers a wine cellar, fitness centre, cinema, massage treatment room, interactive kitchen and fire pit while a full staff complement ensure that your every need is met.

Reforestation is a huge drive as the Singita team strive to ensure that the forests of the Volcanoes National Park are not just sustained but added to. The Landing's on-site nursery was borne from a commitment to help reforest, rehabilitate and maintain the habitat of Rwanda’s endangered mountain gorillas. Initially, 60,000 saplings were bought from local growers and earmarked for the 178 acres of land on which Singita Volcanoes National Park sits. This number steadily grew to 250,000 saplings, even before the lodge opened. The team continue to increase the number of trees planted as they expanding their reforestation efforts in the area.
