How They Dazzle Us

The clearest water, hundreds of little islands, incredible coral and a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere that is second to none, makes this Landing an incredible place to spend time. This might not be the most exclusive place you will ever stay at, but it will probably be the warmest and most welcoming. The views and scenery, both above and below the water are also incredible and while this is undoubtedly a divers paradise, it’s fair to say that it’s also paradise even if you aren’t a diver.

Why We Love Them

Cove Eco Resort is all about celebrating the greatness of Papuan way of life and everything they do here is geared towards celebrating that and improving things for the local community, who are hugely invested in the project. This Landing believes that by working in tandem with the local community they can raise the standard of living by providing solar lights, clean water, better health and education for the next generation of Papuans.

Their Sustainable Superpower

Before Cove Eco Resort came into being other less eco-friendly resorts had been run in the area. The Cove team moved in and set about cleaning up and restoring the area to its former majesty. This included rubbish removal programmes, security patrol and concerted efforts to ban fishing (a no-fishing zone is now in place within a five kilometre radius of the island).
