How They Dazzle Us
In taking about Africa and the safari experiences that abound in places like Kenya and Tanzania it is so easy to focus on the animals. But there is a lot to be said for the local vegetation as well and in this regard Tarangire Treetops is dazzling. What could be more impressive than sharing a home or a meal with a tree that is more than 1000 years old. The baobab at the centre if this Landing is exactly that, a venerable citizen of Africa from the earliest of days. It has seen it all from colonization through independence, through famine and plenty, rain and shine, and it still stands there, splendid and magnificent offering shade and support and a wonderful presence. The way that the Elewana team have worked with the vegetation to create this unique Landing is inspiring.

Their Sustainable Superpower
It might be an obvious thing to say given the nature of the Landing, but we love that they love and look after the trees. So many resorts start by chopping down trees to clear the area for construction. This is a Landing that works with what is there, preserving it and weaving it into the unique fabric of their existence. It is the trees that make this Landing so special and despite all the other good work that the management team here do to look after the environment and the broader community, it is their passion for trees that we love the most.
