This wonderful Landing is widely regarded as the premiere camp in the Masai Mara, with outstanding game viewing right on its doorstep. Quite simply this is the camp for people seeking a bit of extra luxury. The management team have gone all out to keep Il Moran small and intimate, adding touches that place this camp at the top of the safari accommodation range. Consisting of just ten tents, guests here are looked after by the camp manager who is always on hand to cater to all requests.

When it comes to getting away and relaxing in the bush, it must be said that size matters. In this instance the smaller the better and Il Moran have got this spot on. This wonderful Landing is small and peaceful. It is intimate and charming. It is a wonderful destination for honeymooners or for couples who are looking for a very special safari experience. Everything here feels personal and as though it was made specifically with you, the guest. From the chunky wooden tables that contrast with oversized blue couches, the beaded chandelier, tribal portraits and African artefacts through to the meals that are served on the raised wooden decking or the sunken fire pit which is lit in the evenings – this is attention to detail and a personalized service that is hard to rival.

Their Sustainable Superpower

Built around the Governors’ philosophy that the local community must benefit directly from tourism this Landing has been awarded a Silver Eco Rating by Eco-Tourism Kenya for their sustainable tourism practices. As part of the Governors’ stable they are involved in activities that include conservation, tree planting and reforestation, food security and the promotion of a zero waste policy that encourages recycling and the use of sustainable resources like solar energy and water harvesting.
