How They Dazzle Us
This stunning old house in an Art Nouveau style was converted into a hotel in 1966, a process that saw it lose none of its charm or character. Given that it was once a house (admittedly a very large one) and that it was not a purpose-built hotel, each room is different and uniquely styled and designed. The art that adorns the walls is also worthy of hanging in a gallery or museum such is its importance to Swedish art history. You can’t help but be in awe of the building from its stately exterior to the interior detail and the abundance of great art. Truly remarkable. The location on the waterfront is also charming.

Why We Love Them
Probably the best thing about this lovely Landing in the wonderful Butiken Food Hall. This is a small yet very popular destination that serves locally made produce, organic food and healthy snacks. The cheese is incredible, and it is not surprising that it is not just hotel guests who opt to eat here, but locals as well. It really one of the best informal hotel food spots that you could ever wish to visit.

Their Sustainable Superpower
The environment is important to the team at this Landing and they proudly state that they only use organic cleaning products. They are certified to ISO 14001. But above that the team is focussed on doing good in the world. They provide meals for a local women’s shelter and they are involved with charities and development work across the globe. They are about doing good all round and they appear to be doing it incredibly well.
