How They Dazzle Us
Ending up in a trailer park is not many people's idea of success but the wonderful Old Mac Daddy Landing, about a 40-minute drive from Cape Town, is no ordinary trailer park. Accommodation is in one of 12 beautifully restored and decorated Airstream Trailers, each one done in a unique style by a local artist or designer. It is other-worldly and charming, and it is not just the trailers that make for a fantastic experience, it is also the location, tucked away in the mountains with a sense of tranquillity and peace and with great outdoor living opportunities.

Why We Love Them
This is not just a place to stay or a base from which to explore the surrounding areas, this is a work of art. It is a genuine passion project and a Landing that stands out from the others due to its unique feel and flavour. Aside from the great facilities there are also all sorts of great outdoor activities on offer here, including fishing, mountain-biking, Zorbing, hiking and archery. It is a proper adventure.

The whole premise of Old Mac Daddy is about sustainability and responsible eco-friendly tourism. From the renovated and re-done Airstreams that mean low impact on the environment, to the way they have been decorated and themed by local artists, thereby allowing them to showcase their work and generate income, this is a very well thought out Landing. There is an amazing flow between the accommodation and the landscape creating a fantastic feeling of being truly integrated with the surrounding wilderness.
