Why We Love Them
While they show their commitment to the environment in many ways, one of the most unique projects on show at this Landing is their bottled water project. Now being rolled out to other hotels in their group, the project was pioneered at Paradis Beachcomber, where a bottling and filtration plant was set up on the premises. Using recycled bottles this is a very real showcase of their commitment to society and the environment.

Their Sustainable Superpower
On a tiny island like Mauritius there is not a lot of scope to grow food for the entire population, so a lot of produce is imported and very expensive. As such Paradis Beachcomber has teamed up with an NGO called Manzer Partazer to recover unused food, which is offered to primary school children in the neighbouring village of Case Noyale. This initiative helps reduce food waste while at the same time providing quality food to needy children. Being aware of who you are and the impact of the choices that you make is the first step in starting to live sustainably. And it is a step that the team behind this stunning Landing have made. And they have made it confidently. Recognizing that the activities of their hotels have the potential for negative impacts on the environment and community if not properly managed, they have made every effort to apply best practice in environmental and social sustainability. Significantly they actively encourage their staff to underscore their commitment to environmental and social sustainability to all key stakeholders including guests, suppliers and contractors.
