The Camp is situated in Olare Motorogi Conservancy that borders the world renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. The conservancy has lots of wildlife, with very high density of the big cats. Like all Porini Camps, there is a genuine commitment to controlling tourism density in the conservancy with a ratio of tents to wilderness acreage The camp offers an exclusive experience; at no time do you ever feel like you are surrounded by crowds of tourists. Why We Love Them

This award winning camp is located in a unique and stunning setting on the banks of the seasonal Ntiakatiak River within the confines of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy and is home to an abundance of wild animals. What we loved most though were the lions after which the camp was named. This part of Kenya is renowned for its big cats, and a visit to Porini Lion Camp is almost guaranteed to deliver lion sightings of the up close and personal kind. Yes, lions can be lazy if they choose to be, but watching them hunt is something quite different and the guides at Porini Lion Camp are experts at knowing where the action is.
