Originally designed and created for the owners of Thanda Safari, this is a location that spares nothing when it comes to comfort and luxury. A home in the bush for the super-rich or an escape from prying eyes for the rich and famous, this is a Landing with everything. Recently voted Africa's Leading Luxury Villa at the World Travel Awards this incredible Afro-chic homestead boasts five beautiful suites and all the trimmings: a heated pool, wine cellar, library, games room and a spacious viewing deck that overlooks a water hole. It’s the ultimate safari hideaway for guests who want total privacy. The Landing has its own helicopter pad and separate accommodation for child-minders and VIP security officers.

It is not often that you can join the fight against major international crime syndicates, but that is something that you can do when you stay at this wonderful Landing. It is all part of Thanda's rhinoceros conservation efforts and the team here are keen to get the guests involved as much as possible. Rhinos are on the brink of extinction and an extraordinary effort is required to protect these magnificent creatures from poaching by international criminal syndicates. As a guest you can actively contribute to conserving the rhinos on Thanda Safari by joining specialist rhino monitors who daily locate and record data on our black and white rhinos. Involvement ranges from tracking to darting, and while there are costs involved, it is definitely worth it for both the up close experience that you get and for helping to prolong the existence of the world’s rhino.
