This Landing needs to be seen to be believed, it is that beautiful, remote and pristine. Built on a tiny atoll in turquoise blue sea, surrounded by marine life and birds and with a calm and warm blue lagoon in its midst this Landing needs to be experienced to be appreciated. Why We Love Them

Aside from its incredible beauty this is one of the most innovative Landings around. It’s not easy creating something as special and ecologically sound in the middle of nowhere but the team at The Brando have excelled themselves. They use a pioneering deep seawater air-conditioning system to reduce energy demands and they rely entirely on renewable energy sources including solar power and coconut oil. The resort is close to reaching its stated goal of being carbon neutral and self-sustainable. Additionally they have built an Ecostation for the Tetiaroa Society, the non-profit organization established to lead the scientific and cultural mission to protect the atoll and to inspire sustainable interdependence on Tetiaroa.

Their Sustainable Superpower

The team at The Brando have set themselves up as stewards of Tetiaroa, the atoll on which this Landing is based. They believe it is their responsibility to treat it with the highest level of care and respect and almost all of Tetiaroa is being protected and preserved forever in its natural state. The buildings are as non-invasive as possible with the villas designed without beach obstructions to blend harmoniously into the trees. All building materials used are of local or certified origin, renewable, or incorporate recycled components.
