How They Dazzle Us

Regarded as pound-for-pound the best game fish in the world, the lower Zambezi is home to the Tiger Fish, a seething mass of muscle and sharp teeth. Aside from the usual safari and African experiences, this fantastic camp boasts Tiger Fishing as a major attraction. It might not be everyone’s idea of a great day out, but don’t knock it till you’ve tried it. Taken on a fly road or with more conventional tackle, the Tiger Fish experience is like Marlin fishing, but in the wilds of Africa. It is worth noting that all fish caught at Chongwe are done so on a catch and release basis.

Their Sustainable Superpower

Solid foundations and ethics are the basis for great things and those are the building blocks behind Chongwe River Camp. As long ago as the early 1980s the man who now owns and runs the venue was just a young man. His name was Chris Liebenberg and he was inspired by legendary conservationist, Norman Carr, to create his own dream and continue Norman's legacy of conservation in Zambia. He’s been building on that dream ever since and today is one of the driving forces behind the development and conservation of the Chiawa Partnership Park, an area bordering the Lower Zambezi National Park.
