As if the amazing beaches, incredible views and outrageous luxury were not enough, what will blow guests away at Miavana is the opportunity to get up close to lemurs, the curious animals that are endemic to Madagascar. Why We Love Them
A lot of time and effort went into doing it right at Miavana. The venue took almost four years to build and used upwards of 500 local workers on the project. Designed by award-winning architects, a hallmark of all Time + Tide venues, the lodge seemlessly blends into the environment in the heart of an Indian Ocean paradise. The villas are strung out along the western side of the island, each with floor to ceiling windows, offering panoramic views of the turquoise sea and white sand beaches mere metres away. This is castaway luxury at its finest.

Their Sustainable Superpower
The team at Nosy Ankao share a passion for the environment and protecting it. They are very focussed of developing ways for the local communities to sustain themselves without overexploiting the area's natural resources. As such before any building had even begun on the construction of the venue they were supporting local conservation efforts to reduce net fishing and monitor wildlife movements around and on the island, including the four species of turtle that nest here all year round.
