How They Dazzle Us

They say that size doesn’t matter, and that might be the case, but it is hard not to be impressed by it all the same. South Africa’s Kruger National Park is enormous, and this wonderful Landing abuts it. The Kruger philosophy is all about no fences which means that &Beyond Ngala Safari Lodge is a private part of the Kruger Park. So, you have all the benefits of the teeming multitudes of game but no crowds or day trippers vying for the best photograph or siting. This Landing is stylish and old-worldly, it is like time has simply stood still here, leaving guests in awe as they arrive into what seems like another place and time.

Why We Love Them

The bush is not always the easiest place to take children – especially in these modern times of cell phones and tablets and constant connectivity. This Landing is aware of this, and while there is no screen time for children there are plenty of other family activities that can be done. &Beyond Ngala Safari Lodge caters for families with special family rooms and rates. There is the WILD Child programme to teach and initiate younger family members into the way s of the bush and there is obviously plenty of game and exciting opportunities to view it.

Their Sustainable Superpower

As part of the Kruger Park project this Landing abides by the rules and conservation codes put in place by the management of this exceptional reserve. Protecting the increasingly endangered rhinoceros is one of the big projects in the area. Poaching is a problem, with rhino horns fetching close to US$80k per kilogram – which means that poachers take their chances of being mauled by lion or shot by rangers. Efforts to protect the rhino are extraordinary and the team at &Beyond Ngala Safari Lodge play their part in the war to keep these incredible mammals from extinction.
