How They Dazzle Us

The silence, the wonderfully warm Indian Ocean, the solitude and the dazzling dunes are all comment worthy. But there is nothing that can compare to snorkelling next to some of the biggest animals in the world. Whale Sharks, which are the largest non-mammalian animals alive and humpback whales are both regular visitors to this part of the world and there is plenty of opportunity to be in the water with them. Swimming in the open sea next to these massive creatures is both humbling and awe-inspiring. And you don’t need to be a fully licenced SCUBA diver to get this experience, if you can swim you can experience it and let’s just say it again – it is an unforgettable experience.

This wonderful Archipelago, which is home to this incredible Landing is a protected marine reserve and national park. Translated to the Island of the Mist, it lies 30km off the mainland of Mozambique, accessible either by air or sea. Once you are there peace descends as rolling sand dunes melt into clear azure ocean. You can swim with dolphins and lose yourself to nature’s beauty in one of the last untouched pieces of paradise.
