Get away from the resort and have some fun exploring and relaxing on a remote sandbar. The opportunities for fun and relaxation are endless. Hunt and race crabs, tan in the sun, flying a kite or play in the waves. We will provide both shade and refreshments and if you plan ahead we can also supply provisions for a picnic.

It must be stressed that the “Funguni” sand bank is not a permanent feature of the area. It appears daily for about six hours at low tide, and is accessible only by boat. The sand bank is more than half a kilometer long and in places the water drops off quite sharply, ideal for swimming, while in others the drop is very gradual, creating submerged pools filled with marine life such as starfish, crabs, tiger cowries and occasionally sea horses.
