How They Dazzle Us
Walks in nature are special, they remind you of how vulnerable you are and how powerful and primal the animals of the wild really are. What is even more exciting is that the unfenced tented camps offer a truly close to nature experience. That is exactly what you have at this Camp where you will frequently wake up with animal spoor between the tents. It is a proper, no-holds barred, African bush experience. Located inside a private conservancy far from the usual safari crowds this camp has just six spacious guest tents and a lovely family feel.

Porini Cheetah Camp is located in the private Ol Kinyei conservancy, an area that is exclusive to Porini Camps and which plays host to just one other non-seasonal camp. While for the uninitiated safari goer this might not mean much, the reality is that it makes for an extraordinarily intimate wildlife experience, with very few other cars sharing your sightings. The conservancy is a recognized hotspot for the big cats and, as its name suggests, especially cheetahs, with these speedy mammals often spotted with cubs.

Unfenced and going all out to ensure minimal impact on the environment, this camp is entirely solar-powered. Plenty of sunshine means that there is enough power for the comfortable tents to have fans and charging points for use during the day. Also en suite bathrooms with hot shower, flush toilet and water in the taps. The chef uses fresh ingredients to prepare high quality meals and even home-baked bread. It is simple, unpretentious living but it is all done right; in such a way that the environment is in no way degraded at the expense of a quick dollar or tourist thrill.
