If you are in the area but you are not actually staying there, you owe it to yourself to make a mission to the Masai Mara. This National Reserve is a place of wonder, beauty and abundance. It teems with animals. Wildebeest cross it on their annual migration and if you are looking to spot the Big Five, keen on birding or simply looking to soak up the African landscape then this is a place worth visiting. Pack a picnic basket and your guide will stop in an approved spot so you can stretch your legs and move around outside the car. It is a wonderful experience.
