How They Dazzle Us

This incredible venue must be seen to be believed. Located on an island so small that its luxury chalets are not actually on the island at all. Instead they have what they term a housing reef, a ring of no-comfort-spared chalets on stilts in the clear blue Indian Ocean. As you lounge on your deck you can see for miles, clear blue sea and distant horizons.

Why We Love Them

This incredible venue draws on its idyllic surrounds to make it all that it can be. Making use of natural light and ventilation its open and flowing design blends seamlessly with the vegetation and the marine vistas. Not cost is spared in terms of comfort, but it’s never at the expense of the surrounding ecosystem, something which you immediately feel a part of, as soon as you arrive.

Their Sustainable Superpower

As with their sister hotel the Reethi Beach Resort, the management team at Reethi Faru is very focussed on coral renewal and growth. With multiple special projects under way, their team of marine biologists have started a coral nursery on ropes in order to grow fragments back to bigger colonies - an important project which they started after the 2016 El Niño.
