Quite simply there is a natural fit between being in the wild and being in a tent. And while tents and camping might not be everyone’s idea of fun, this is certainly not any tenting like the boy scouts do it, this is tenting that leaves you feeling as close to nature as you could possibly be, while at the same time wrapped in luxury and comfort. The tents at this Landing are sensational. Glass panelling has been worked into the structure to welcome the Serengeti plains inside your abode, while in terms of thoughtful design you have access to a private pantry, your own dining and fitness area and a meditation deck.

Why We Love Them
Game viewing from the back of a Landrover is one thing, doing it on foot is completely next level. This Landing, which is located in the path of the famous wildebeest migration, affords visitors the opportunity to go outside the gates on foot and to track animals at close range. And being out of the car is not just about creating a sense of danger and a real African experience in terms of being close to the animals, it is also about seeing plants, spoor and other signs of life (insects, reptiles and birds) that are often hard to appreciate from the car. It is not something that is recommended for children younger than 15, but it is an experience not to be missed otherwise.

With this in mind the Singita team are focussed on taking the tourists to the people and facilitating interactions with and opportunities for the local community. This Landings Outreach Program works with residents of the neighbouring villages to help them realise their development goals, addressing issues of education, natural resource management, enterprise development and water management.
