Wherever there are wild animals there are poachers. It is a constant struggle to protect the animals, with species like rhinoceros, pangolin and elepant particulalry endangered. The Elewana team have made a huge commitment to protecting Africa's animals and they have a full anti-poaching team in place, complete with sniffer dogs and armed rangers. Guests are encouraged to visit the unit's head quarters for a tour. It is an opportunity to see the sniffer dogs in action and to hear first-hand from the rangers about the situations they face and the realities of poaching.
