When walking through the reserve on foot you are likely to spot animals from up close. Some of the species you may well encounter when on foot include both the highly endangered black and white rhinoceros, giraffe, nyala, an abundance of smaller invertebrates and birdlife.

Without a doubt walking slows the pace and gets you closer to the environment. It makes you feel part of the bush as opposed to an outsider looking in.

Guests are led through pockets of bushveld thickets and stunning climax Knobthorn (Acacia nigresens) Veld. Good closed walking shoes with solid soles to prevent thorn penetration, sun hats, insect repellant, long sleeve and long cotton trousers are recommended.
