The area has a number of different habitats which ensure that plenty of birds can be found here. In fact the bird life is so prolific that with more than 400 species available to be seen the park boasts almost half the total number of bird species that can be found in South Africa!  

The list of what you can expect to see is hugely diverse, ranging from impressive raptors like Whalberg's eagle, through a range of owls, wood stork, parrots and many more. It is a complete paradise for birders.
