Virginia Woolf was famously part of the so-called Bloomsbury set that eschewed the prevailing Victorian ideas of religion and looked to explored new sources of spiritual meaning– through their art and writing. Another central figure of the group was the Bohemian occultist and Tarot reader Pixie Colman Smith who created a special deck of Tarot cards in 1910. It is these cards which form the inspiration of a set of 14 cocktails each of which corresponds to one of 14 states of mind or being. This is a wonderful venue. It is like travelling back in time to a London of a different era. Stylish and moody; wood-panelled; beautiful and mystical. It has a charm and charisma all of its own.
