Southern Africa's largest freshwater lake is Lake Sibaya and from Thonga Beach Lodge you are perfectly positioned to explore it. Take a guided trip first thing in the morning and expect to see hippos and crocodiles as well as plenty of incredible water birds. The Lake is about a 20 minute drive from the Landing so it is an early start, but it is certainly very much worth the effort. Your guide is well informed and he will let keep you both informed and entertained.
