The coastline off Thonga Beach is both protected and not easily accessible (unless you are staying at the Landing). This means that the area is pristine and teeming with marine life. Quite rightly it is considered to be one of the best spots for diving anywhere in South Africa. The water is warm and the visibility sensational and there are, quite literally thousands of species of tropical fish to be seen. Added to this expect to see octopus, fire fish, moray eels and electric rays, shoals of game fish, sharks and schools of bottlenose dolphins are often encountered.

This is a place for divers with experience or for those who still want to be certified - the Landing boasts its own PADI certified dive centre who will teach you everything that you need to know.
