Take a guided walk around the island to take in the bird life, animals and the incredible scenery. The island is home to an interesting array of plants and animals including century-old Baobab trees and rare ground lilies. A tranquil off-shoot of the main river runs through the island affording a breeding spot for a pair of Pel’s fishing owls that roost in large Mangosteen and Jackalberry trees. Other birdlife along the water’s edge includes African finfoot and Schalow’s turaco.

The typical island walk lasts for about an hour.
