Come and explore the Menai Bay Conservation Area, which is the largest protected marine area of Zanzibar. It is just off the coast of Kizimkazi in the south-east of Zanzibar. Chances are good that you will spot various species of birds, tropical fish and dolphins. There are regular sightings of the latter, both bottlenose and humpback species. The humpback dolphin is shy and a slow swimmer, with a distinct hump on it's dorsal fin.

The dolphins are both playful and intelligent mammals. They spend a huge amount of time socializing and they are easy to approach. The bottlenose dolphins will allow the boats to approach rather closely and you will be able to watch and take pictures.
