If places with names like the devil’s sitting room, Hell’s clinic, and devil’s mouth, and which have featured as locations in movies like Tomb Raider intrigue you then Hell's Gate National Park is a place you must visit. One of the smallest national parks in Africa at just 26 square miles this is a fascinating place hewn from millennia of volcanic activity and erosion.

While it is the phenomenal geological formations and volcanic landscapes that the park is famous for, it is also home to plenty of wildlife. Despite its lack of size, the area’s wildlife includes giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalo, Thomson gazelles, and eland. Naturally, given the high cliffs there are also many species of birds a total of more than one hundred species have been spotted here.
