Around an hour by car from the Landing is the Tembe Elephant Park, a 30,000ha wilderness that is home to one of the most dense elephant population anywhere in Africa. Spend time in one of the hides which are designed to get you as close as possible to these giant creatures. If you are hoping for an incredible elephant encounter, this is the place to get it. This trip is a self-drive excursion - it doesn't need a guide or a 4x4 vehicle.
