While there are no guarantees of spotting them this is a real adventure and an amazing night out. Traverse rough roads, climb dunes and head down to the beach in the middle of the night in the hope of seeing mother turtles pull themselves up onto the beach to lay their eggs. The mother turtles lay their eggs between 15 November to 15 January; so this excursion is not a year round activity. It is also not an activity suitable for younger children. Both loggerhead and leatherback turtles lay eggs here, with the females returning to the beach between four and seven times in a season to lay as many eggs as possible. Eggs hatch between 65 and 70 days after being laid and it is then that guests stand the chance to see the little ones making their way off the beach and back to the sea - it's incredible.
