They are very strange looking fellows, the Golden Monkeys, quite unlike almost anything you would have seen before. Trek through the Volcanoes National Park to find them as they leap between the bamboo branches and frolic on the forest floor. They are playful and inquisitive and surprisingly well habituated to humans. The trek to see the Golden Monkeys departs in the mornings and once you find them, visitors are allowed to stay for one hour with the monkeys.   

The Landing is located just a 15 minute drive from the park headquarters and is the ideal place to use as a base when missioning to see both the Mountain Gorilla and Golden Monkeys. As with the gorillas, permits are required for the trek to see the Golden Monkeys.
