The mountains are amazing, we may have mentioned that already, but so are the cities – and while they might not be as fashionable as some other European cities like Paris, Amsterdam or London, the Swiss cities of Zurich and Geneva are great places and very much deserving of a visit. Skiing is an obvious reason for many people to travel to Switzerland and that is best experienced in eth winter months between December and March. But for hiking or mountain-biking the summer months are best – in short there is plenty to do in Switzerland at any time of year.

Aside from their Army Knives and mountains the Swiss are world famous for chocolate, cheese and fondues.
